Especially if you have them cut small pieces so you can sample all the many varieties.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Mold from various caverns is the embodiment of variety.
in reply to Katherine Bond

I always wonder if you should call blue cheese mold or cheese…
in reply to Katherine Bond

I can enjoy moderate amounts of some bleu cheeses.
Does that make me a cheese-centerist?
in reply to Katherine Bond

Blue cheese?

Nothing wrong with a good Stilton. Gorgonzola is wonderful

But, as to eating it all in one sitting, please have mercy on my cholesterol...

in reply to Katherine Bond

Why do all the yummy things have to be bad for your cholesterol? It’s just not fair!
in reply to Katherine Bond

I'm trying to think of something that is not bad for cholesterol but is yummy! Fresh peaches, melons, apples & more @Katherine Bond. Sadly sweets are not good for us but really good tasting.
in reply to Katherine Bond

I am addicted to apples, so there is that @Donna McClure. So many different varieties. Also helps to drizzle a little peanut butter on them.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Mrs F made a chocolate pudding with a banana, an avocado, some soy milk, some coconut sugar, and quite a bit of 100% chocolate powder, and perhaps some spices that I do not recall. It has lots of yum and is moderately healthy.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Nooooooo.....!!!!!

Peanut butter never, blood pudding forever...!

🤣

in reply to Katherine Bond

I really have no idea what blood pudding is but the name makes me not want to try it!
in reply to Katherine Bond

It's more commonly called Black Pudding, @Donna McClure – but Blood Pudding is accurate and makes more sense to those unfamiliar with it.

Think of a type of sausage, the main ingredient of which is blood.

It's a traditional staple of the cooked breakfast over here.

And yummy... 😋

in reply to Katherine Bond

Hmmm. I've discovered that Black Sausage is a component of Manchester Eggs...
It is looking somewhat stargazy and could be good with escargot or peanut butter.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Some folks seem to have a somewhat limited sense of culinary adventuresomeness.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Thanks @Simon J Ashcroft. Knowing the sausage has blood in it, I would pause but might taste.
in reply to Katherine Bond

I have not been availed of an opportunity to try Manchester Eggs either. We did have oatmeal with some banana slices, raisins, and a little milk for breakfast, though.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Mrs A is aware of Manchester Eggs. I am unsure how. She dislikes such sausage.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Oatmeal season is officially started here. I love all the varieties of toppings you can put on oatmeal. Yours sounds lovely @Brian Fitzgerald
in reply to Katherine Bond

I did poached eggs this morning…no blood pudding.
in reply to Katherine Bond

I usually skip lunch but would like a second dinner some evenings @Brian Fitzgerald. I do my best to avoid too much evening snacking.
in reply to Katherine Bond

If you’re eating the stuff that looks like sausage, I could handle that @Simon J Ashcroft (ingredients sound OK) but if you’re eating the stuff that looks like this, I’ll pass.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Lunch is often our "main meal" except when we have breakfast out. It is extremely rare for us to go out for the evening meal. I suppose this is because we seldom dine with anyone else.
in reply to Katherine Bond

If I go out with my peeps, it’s rarely breakfast out and mostly dinner out. If go out for dinner, I’m done for the evening. If I eat at home, evening snacking can occur or just grazing…grazing…grazing rather than a meal. My motto is “If I don’t have it in the house. I can’t eat it.”
in reply to Katherine Bond

I have no idea what that is supposed to be, @Katherine Bond. It looks like a chocolate steamed pudding covered in a cherry sauce. It is not a Black Pudding.

You will find images of what I'm talking about in this link:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pu…

in reply to Katherine Bond

I think that was an image of Blood Pudding, as opposed to Black Pudding. I have to go look again. lol
in reply to Katherine Bond

Given the article references sausage casings, the images make little sense to me. I have never seen a Black Pudding that looks like that. Chocolate sponge, yes, but not Black Pudding.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Speaking of bread pudding!! When I shopped at Oliver's today (a local grocery), they had Pumpkin Caramel bread Pudding, it was quite large so I cut it in half, warmed it up & topped it with some ice cream.. Delicious!!! ☺️
in reply to Katherine Bond

I thought it looked more like a bloody molded jello.

Speaking of which, aspic…also yuck
My chef brother likes to sneak that in too, along with squid and snails.

in reply to Katherine Bond

Oh yes @Donna McClure. Warm bread pudding is one of the delights of autumn…and pumpkin caramel. 🤤
