I played a ton of Behind Jaggi Lines off a BBS, then bought the box copy mostly for the intro scene a year later. The Fractalus remake is excellent, too: lsdwa.com/projects/fractalus/

@mdhughes thank you for actually buying your own copy! I wish everyone who had downloaded the pirated version had done the same. It might have resulted in a Rescue 2!

@DavidBFox Yeah. Piracy was like 90% of software I saw at that time. I had parents with money for it, so I could buy things that I cared about, but so many couldn't. The releases really needed feelies or more to drag people into paying. Sneaky copy protection like Alternate Reality worked well, too.
