Profits are extracted from those who are forced to sell their labour & accumulated by bosses & "investors" as we can see in the so called developed world the rich are taking more and more , not even leaving enough to live on
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Nope. Wrong--just as wrong as the rest of Soviet ideology...rather...idi-ology, which is why Sovietism never worked--it lacks similar grasp of reality because the idi-ology leaves you blind.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Er i don't subscribe to what you call "Soviet ideology" authoritaian systems don't work in the end , be it "Soviet" or the capitalist variety.Anarchism isn't an ideology
in reply to donsimon

@donsimon, this is how @Clara Listensprechen argues. It's all gaslighting and name calling. There's no actual meat to the argument.

I've learned simply not to engage, and thus am bowing out. Just wanted to give you a heads-up.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Why do you assume that because i criticise capitalism that i support authoritaian communism? The Soviet Union was state capitalism & a brutaly oppressive regime, remarkably similar to what exists now in the USA
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

What sounds like Soviet idi-ology and smells like Soviet idi-ology is Soviet idi-ology enough for me, and I'm a person who has debated the fine points thereof via Moscow Mailbag pretty much throughout their shortwave radio service during the Cold War. Idi-ology includes Engels & Marx, also argued by Leninists, and the one thing they have in common is divorce from the realities on the ground. They've theorized how capitalism works in their view and their view is an unworkable theory and remains unworkable theory and will always be unworkable theory because the key word here is UNWORKABLE, due to faulty unreal concepts of what capitalism actually IS. As long as you cite the delusions of the delusioned, you'll never get agreement from me on the subject.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

"They've theorized how capitalism works in their view and their view is an unworkable theory and remains unworkable theory and will always be unworkable theory because the key word here is UNWORKABLE" so it's unworkable because you say so...i have a problem with Marx because of authoritarian politics but as a economist he did have some good theories
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Of course your theory of capitalism is unworkable--you've exhibited an unworkable "understanding" of it from the get-go, and that's been an ongoing problem of Sovietism all along even under its current iteration. Also Maoism.

Read "The Incredible Bread Machine", and then study the long, long history of human trade even back to barter days. The capitalism I defend isn't based on any cockeyed theory; it's based on human activity, something that is an entirely human characteristic. My concept of capitalism works because it's had centuries-long track record of actually working.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Wrong, capitalism is a fairly recent invention in human history.Jusk keep repeating the lie that nothing can change & be a useful stooge for thr rich
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

And you're wrong. Dead wrong. You're talking about capitalism as a cockeyed pipe dream theory and you'll always be wrong as long as you do.
Actual capitalism has been around as long as humanity, which is why it's not even theoretical.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

"Actual capitalism has been around as long as humanity, which is why it's not even theoretical"
Wow so neolithic man had a market economy, stock market & central bank .Absolutely fucking hilarious.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Si what is your position exactly? There isn't an alternative to capitalism or it's the best system for organising human activity? Gold was used as a medium of exchange before capitalism.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

There's always a lot of alternatives to screwy theories, fella. Screwy theories is all you've got, so, basically, you're screwed. So is everybody else that adheres to screwy theories as if that's all there is. Y'all best just get real.
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

So everything you disagree with are screwy theories.and yes capitalism works, for the few but as we can see even the small percentage of folks who in the developed world had some improvement in their living standards are now being impoverished. As for barter David Graeber did research on this subject & found that it was much less common than the gift economy.Tgen there is the endless wars, climate change & alk the other "externalities" that capitalism brings - folks freezing to death on the streets in the richest economy whilst homes stsnd empty , dying because they can't afford medical care etc.so maybe you've doing well from capitalism or you're the one that's been gaslit?
in reply to 𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕒 ðŸģïļâ€âš§ïļ

Wrong. Theories are theories are theories, as in not real until proven in practice. None of the members of the Church of Eco-Political Theories believe in repeatedly in proven practice while assiduously adhering to last century's disproven classical theories. I like to keep it real--adherents to the Church of Eco-Political Theories don't.
