i posted this on bsky a while back, and only just realized "hey maybe fedi wants to see some of the visual art i personally created in its entirety"

so, here's my art. please enjoy

EDIT: for everyone asking: the third image is a screenshot from MidBoss, a turn-based roguelike where you possess the bodies of the enemies you defeat and take their abilities for your own. It's available on itch (eniko.itch.io/midboss) and Steam (store.steampowered.com/app/561…)

The reception to this post has been really nice 😊 I don't usually get a lot of attention for my art so I always struggle with insecurity about it

The only problem with your art is that it's so good and cozy it's frustrating that I can't go live in it. The problem with all great artists, really. 😔

WOW! If you got tired of coding, you could start a career as an artist (not that that would be any more financially stable)

That last one looks just like something out of an old PC game, at the tail (ha!) end of the 2D era where things were kind of pseudo rendered.

All of them are cool, but I got a random nostalgia flash from that one 😀

@yon that was the goal! 😁 to evoke that very early low res 3D rendered style

I'm going to have to check out midboss, the screenshot is giving me major Nethack Falcon's Eye vibes (I was a why get Diablo when great open source is right there kid)

I really like the last one, looks kind of cozy and fun to explore, reminds me of Myst or Riven for some reason.
