@geekysteven Oh yeah. Most modern tech has hardware specs that my younger stuff couldn't have fathomed. It's just that the locked down software it runs is utter trash (and in most cases, actively harmful).
Still, there are some promising technologies out there, and also things that can be hacked to actually respect their end users. You just have to wade carefully through the minefield that is the modern tech landscape.
