Rapture question!

What if someone's pregnant, but they aren't worthy of rapture? Because I thought this group is pro the unborn and sees babies as innocent. Does mom get in as the baby's plus one? Is everybody pregnant going to go into labor and the babies immediately float upwards? Do their bellies float upwards but the rest of them dangles behind?

I can't stop thinking about this.

i think the solution is to rapture the moms after birth. Any similarity to death penalties are by accident.

I hope at least a few people ate a gummy 10 minutes before reading that toot.

My focus has been on the claims of people quitting their job and selling their car to prepare. (I would love to believe that that's just An Internet Thing and not actually happening in any significant numbers.)

Like, why? You literally can't take it with you. No need to quit your job; you can just not show up! No consequences!

I envision the mom being spit back out and falling back to Earth after the baby is born. 🫟 Splat!

... now i'm confused. i really thought the rapture thing was about the *after*-life. did i misread it all these years, and people are really thinking they will be isekai'd ?

--like, they would all die and go to heaven kinda thing, so the unborn question is moot in that interpretation--

@gureito Technically the rapture people are talking about isn't in the bible, but apparently folks think the righteous will float up into heaven tomorrow

Isn't it the whole thing in Revelation about Jesus and the angels supposedly coming out of Heaven at some point to take the righteous and then brutally murder people?

It's alright. I can't stop reading rapture, as rupture. Which, for some reason, seems more applicable. πŸ˜†

@pathfinder
I've long associated the two terms as well.

And now that I think about it, that association may have been referenced/depicted at the end of the movie End of Evangelion, which was already rife with christian symbolism. :blob_cat_thinking:

(If you've seen it you'll know what I mean. If not, you won't get much from it without first watching the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.)

I guess the baby just pops out of existence and leaves the mother completely confused. 😁

At least I hope it's not a Xenomorph kind of situation... :Yikes:

religion,ridiculous hypothetical
@Dr. Amy, Psy.D. on a similar note, what happens if they're indoors? Doesn't the ceiling pose a problem?

I mean nothing says they can't send her back like a FedEx package πŸ˜†
