Me and a group of ham radio operators gather each morning, sip coffee and discuss the issues of the day. We have a new AUTISTIC person joining in. He is intelligent but can't read the room. He butts in, talking over people. He completely sabotages ongoing discussions to present his issues in extreme detail. We have accommodated him for weeks. There is no middle and we have tried! 12 of us and 1 of him. Coffee consumption is up, participation down.

in reply to Cameron • • •@cameron29 Cameron thank you for your concern. 1 of us personally knows the autistic person and has repeatedly talked to him. It is fine for a day or 2 and the behavior returns.
I shared my experience because the person who posted this is autistic and believes that he is not understood and is put upon. I contend, with experience, that his attitude it's a matter of perspective and I know several people who would agree.
I would guess that he is not being treated and is angry!
