I've never agreed with using the term "smart" (or "dumb") with technology, at all. IMO one cannot, and should not, compare human mental ability with that of a technological system of any type. It serves only to confuse, condition and diminish our perception of what "smart" actually means (and makes us all a bit less human as a result.)
