Last time this sort of thing happened it was because my PHP version was too old, so instead of warning me it just said "everything is up-to-date" when I'd check the updater.
This is a really terrible oversight.

I'm just a little cautious because a while ago I ended up on an unsupported version and had no idea until my client software gave me a warning about it. The server was happily just running like nothing was wrong.
