This toot brought to you by all the time I spent explaining to the kid that you canβt call one thing odd between two things, you need at least 3 data points.

I never realized before how I am that boring and exhausting. Iβm sorry, world
@AutistiCritic @Farah π³οΈβπππΌ Yeah, but I often don't catch myself doing it until after the fact. Sometimes I don't understand why my partner doesn't murder me in my sleep.
Don't be sorry. Some people just don't appreciate precision and clarity (NTs, ok so too many people lol). Some of us do though. And we help keeping the world from falling apart.
@me Oh I know what you mean! Long before I knew I was ND, I noticed how frustrating it was when someone was unclear about something, so I'd ask them to clarify, and that would make *me* look like the stupid one, because I couldn't understand what they mean when it was obvious to them. But the reality was, not only could I figure out *a* meaning for what they said, but *more than one*, which they did not see. They are just so used to assumptions and jumping to conclusions that this is normal for them. π
@murdoc @me If someone is being so vague that I can derive multiple interpretations then I may determine which interpretation serves me best, assert back to them the more precise description of my chosen interpretation of their statement and place the onus on them to either correct or agree. Of course, this may make *them* feel dumb which can be bad depending on the outcome I want.
