Poe's Law for AI integration. This satire feels too close to actual proposals.
in reply to Micah

I have to assume someone is doing that right now. I've just completely given up on expecting better.

@jaycatt7 Silly answer: I'm afraid we're going to have to ask ChatGPT.

Serious answer: The proposed function is *absolutely* a joke, akin to suggesting a wifi connection in every spatula.

@WesternInfidels @jaycatt7
Don't give the techbros ideas!

Wifi-spatulas will be the next Torment Nexus.

The original mallocAI() post is cursed. We can only hope it is satire.

Reminds me though of import_from_stackExchange() where someone actually wrote a function to search SE for highest rated search result with code in the answer, and just pull it in to the run time.

Import_From_SE("solve towers of hanoi") or whatever.

Reminder that the folks funding AI initiatives are the same folks funding anti-democracy movements like Trumpism.

@Npars01 Longtermism: If we, the rich people, don't pay any taxes and abortion gets forbidden, maybe someday something good will come of it or something.
in reply to Leonard Schiff

That delayed gratification narrative of "Don't worry about it, you'll get your reward in heaven, later."

It's a very popular concept with the moneyed.

It's a lie, of course. Longtermism is a malign influence campaign.

No one can predict the future & minimizing current crises isn't a solution.

It's the moral philosophy equivalent of "trickle down economics" where the rich get theirs now, & the rest are conned into waiting for a payoff that never arrives

what a load of useless junk. i honestly wish for the AI hype train to derail horribly and for the AI bubble to burst 5 times worse than the dot com bubble of the late 90s and early 2000s. fuck Generative AI, all my homies use actual human programming, drawing and writing skills.
in reply to Micah

yeah at least name it malloc_plus_ai like all other stdlib functions
in reply to Micah

I respect both styles

but anyway it would surprise me if it wasn't satire

in reply to Micah

🔪[system marker]If it is, pls mark it as such; legit seeing this pissed me off so fucking much… and knowing if it is or isn’t satire would have saved me a ragespiral
