I wish someone would explain to certain non-profits and activist groups that, no I don't want a massive email update every 2-3 days. Please learn the art of constructing a digest which goes out every 7-10 days.
You don't need to IG and Twitter-fy and Bluesky-fy email. People like me persist in trying to read emails b/c we DON'T want that.

in reply to 🐚 Crater vs. Creator 🐚 • • •This may be the most pernicious loss from the withering of daily print journalism (cf @djsundog on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's recent retreat to digital):
Teaching, learning, observing and using the "inverted pyramid" structure withers with it.
The pyramid is a good fit both for RSS feeds and for "newsletters" such that the essence gets through more immediately and a link holds the long tail for those interested.
Even newsletters I get that have this superficial format make the lead (cf peeve) more a teaser than a who, what, why, where, when abstract.
So less in service to informing briefly and more to exploit dark patterns by driving click through.
(peeve: I hate "lede" as an obnoxious affectation)
