I really want to buy this terrible lockpicking set off of Amazon so I can review it.

Just be aware that your review would be more effort for you than they put into the creation / promotion of the product itself. Their strategy is to have near-zero overheads. People who read reviews is not their target audience.

I reckon I've put more effort into just writing this reply than they put into the promotional images that you attached.

You did notice the photo of a toddler trying to open a cabinet (the subject of the photo)? Indeed, as the ad copy states, lock picks are the perfect gift for children wanting to unlock doors or cabinets!

Found the ad on Amazon. The only thing included in the box is a padlock key. Betting it's a bait and switch. Asked, Rufus even admits,

What's in the box?

The Solid Brass Padlock comes with:

โ€ข 1 padlock (2-inch long shackle, 40mm wide body)
โ€ข Keys (included with the lock)

That's it โ€” just the padlock and its keys. No additional accessories or installation hardware are included in the box.

Sorely tempted, thoughโ€ฆ

@shaknais I totally recommend getting a desktop vice, like Panavise, to hold your locks. That way you can use both hands more comfortably to hold your tools.

Sparrows sells picks with a rubberized dipped handle that are comfy to hold (I recommend the Tron and High HD profiles).

LawLockTools in the UK sells the line that Tipene(sp) designed, which have oversized handles that are easy to hold.

Though I still recommend Red Team Tools for a good, affordable starter set (and book).

[deceptive?]

I wouldn't be surprised. 0 reviews and the text details seems intentionally sketchy (or shifty-eyed), implying it is primarily a lock, and there is only one piece with the product specifications only including a padlock key. Alternately, the business owner could be really bad at English and that was the best they could do. Hmmmm? Since I have a character who does pick a lock, I'm sorely tempted because this would be good educational opportunity if real.
