BREAKING: DeSantis bans Wake-on-LAN in schools saying woke networking protocols are corrupting kids
in reply to Olivia Vespera

@OliviaVespera @faoluin Wake-on-LAN is a networking protocol to start sleeping devices on the network.

The Republicans, far right party in the US, call everything "woke" that is less extreme than hunting LGBT+ people for sport.

This meme mixes the two. (Hope this helps)

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— Governor Ron DeSantis announces appointment of Florida man accused of underground armadillo brothel to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Honestly if the tolls went to funding bike infrastructure, I wouldn't hate it.

Of course there are more than enough reasons to hate living in Florida to ensure that I'll never have to have that debate with myself.

The "Raccoon River Valley Trail" outside of Des Moines, Iowa is, in reality, a "toll road" for bicycles.

traillink.com/trail/raccoon-ri…

"Trail use requires a $2 daily fee for individuals age 18 and older."

Been there. Done that.

It's a nice long trail.

@logan @johnb "Make stuff up?", I ask as I drive my electric bean bag around outside.

@CatSalad🐈🥗 (D.Burch) How the hell are they going to enforce this? It's not like there are license plates on bicycles that can be used to identify the owner.

Nothing good will come of this.

@me AI face scanning technology is rolling out to all street lamps for Florida in 2026 after the "chip every citizen" initiative fell through last year.

You know just a little too much about the sunshine state to convince me that you aren't holed up in a cul-de-sac between the villages and ocala.
