maybe it's bad luck, but the ones I've gotten have immediately gone from rock hard to rotten with no lovely fresh peach stage in between.

I've been very happy with some fantastic local cantaloupe and watermelon, tho.

@flyingsquirrel the ones we’ve gotten from Herrle’s have been pretty good one day after we’ve got them, great 2 days after, and pretty mushy after that. We’ve started putting them in the fridge and taking them out 1-2 at a time, a day before we eat them.
Peach season is my favourite season in Ontario! 😁

@KimberlyN during July's wildfire ash event, my peach allergy resurfaced, after 5 years of blissfully enjoying peaches again. (sob). And this despite masking and staying indoors on the worst days.

Guess my immune system had just had too much. Maybe next year? Or 2030 …

That’s rough.😒 I have a significant allergy to seafood, and I don’t really miss it…but peaches? I would definitely be sad if I couldn’t eat peaches. Fresh peaches and blueberries are my favourite.
