To satisfy my own curiosity, what kind of customizations?
Upgrades break in weird ways when combining out of repository packages (franken debian) and changes to files that are in packages and not flagged as configuration are overwritten. Changed configuration files will generate a what to do prompt. AFAIK all other files are untouched.
One thing I like about running #Debian is that when some project adds something that people don't like, I get plenty of heads up before that version actually hits the official Debian repos. 🙃

Welp, #Debian 13 is out. I wonder how long it'll take me to get around to upgrading. Every time I do, something always breaks. It's always fixable, but annoying.
