So, while there is a #FountainPen community here in the fedi, is there a #teeline community?

Goodness, this has made me feel a tad nostalgic. I used pitman in my work, but a music journalist flatmate was taught teeline. I wonder if there’s much need for either these days…

@Seven βœ¨πŸ‚βœ¨ For me, it's part practical, part just because it's cool. I have ADHD and sometimes my brain runs faster than my hand can write. I tend to type notes, but I don't always have a keyboard handy.

I also like being able to write notes without having someone read over my shoulder... unless of course they happen to be a British journalist, which is unlikely in Canada.

Just did some #teeline (shorthand) practice. Looking at what I'd written, you might think I'd suffered a stroke or something, but that's more or less what it's supposed to look like.

So I've decided that I'll be giving my business to my local(ish) fountain pen store instead. It's a bit of a drive, but I prefer to support local businesses where I can.

Oops, the above was meant to be a reply to this post.

Oh God,

I'm back on the Goulet Pens web site.

I'm normally pretty non-materialistic, but this never ends well for my wallet.
