Does anyone know if #PixelFed has an option to expire posts after a pre-defined period of time like #Mastodon and #Friendica do? If so, where would I find it?
So, I've been playing around with my new #Pixelfed account (thanks, @SDF.ORG ) and I'm a little confused. It probably doesn't help that I was never much of an #Instagram user. So I ask you, dear fedi, what the hell's a story? #AskFedi
@Sijmen Mulder That's kind of the impresson I got from Instagram, but I'm not sure why someone would want to do that rather than making a regular post. I was wondering if there was something I was missing.
I gues it's just old-guy-on-the-internet syndrome.
I think it’s nice to have another channel that isn’t perpetually visible on your profile page, doesn’t have to live up to those standards and where posting a lot on one day is ok

•When you see someone’s stories they’re presented as a series of cards you can quickly advance through.
Often they’re a bit more informal than regular posts and possibly decorated with text, emoji, etc.
