I just use mpv.
I use an invidious instance through the w3m terminal browser to get the URL, and pass that onto mpv to play it.
@RL_Dane
Yeah, `mpv <url>` works flawlessly
If someone has a tip for iOS, though, that’d be great
#Freetube is in #Debian / Ubuntu repositories, but doesn't work for me. I had to use the .deb package from its website. I prefer its interface.
#Minitube works for me on #Ubuntu 24.10. 4.0 can be installed from #Flatpak but it seems it now requires a yearly fee. Debian and Ubuntu carry v3.9.3 which works fine for me.

I use NewPipe on my Android phone. Me too I had problems with Piped and Invidious last times. NewPipe it's for Android only, I need foud a alternative for Debian.
I will test this soon:

Minitube
There's life outside the browser! Minitube is a native YouTube client. With it you can watch YouTube videos in a new way: you type a keyword, Minitube gives you an endless video stream. Minitube does not require the Flash Player.Flavio Tordini
