Created my first generic class (two of them, actually) in #LambdaMOO. They allow people to create portable rooms in-game. I'm using them to create a #DoctorWho parody.

So, it looks like #LamndaMOO requires me to have special permissions to program it, which I suppose makes sense, but is also a little disappointing. Still, there seem to be some general-purpose classes that I can extend without actually programming. Guess I'll see what I can do with those.

Should I dive down the rabbit hole of learning #Godot while I already have so many other projects on the go? Probably not.

Am I? Of course.

Animal Crossing: because putting a lighthouse in your pocket totally makes sense.

We are working on an in-game electronics tutorial using the Mesecons package. It's still a work-in-progress, but can be checked out by visiting the "Classroom" from the teleport pad at the spawn point.

Was a little freaked out this morning because my internet wasn't working and I couldn't figure out why. Tuns out I just forgot to add credit to my #Mullvad account, one of my few bills that doesn't automatically charge a credit card. The money had been budgeted and set aside, just not actually paid.

bitcoin nonsense

I was looking into solutions to allow players on my minetest server to use the shops that have been set up without just ransacking the entire stock (as has happened multiple times in the past). In my search, I have discovered that there is a mod that allows bitcoin to be converted into in-game currency... because, of course there is.

Grifters gonna grift, I suppose.

onpoli: privatization of healthcare
"What makes the Ontario government's policy direction especially puzzling and troubling is that, by Canadian standards, Ontario actually performs very well in terms of wait times for priority procedures," said Andrew Longhurst of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.

Is it really that puzzling, though? This feels very on-brand for Ford. I'm sure he or his friends would benefit financially from this.

The Currency mod gives players an "income" of 100 minegold per hour (10 minegold every 6 minutes). As an experiment, the bakery at the spawn point has been switched over to accepting minegold instead of actual gold ingots (which are difficult to come by). Hopefully, this will allow newer players to make use of the shops if they so desire.

This is now the second time that Katy has tried to FaceTime her mother from the contact on her phone, which she's used a thousand times before, and gotten a random stranger.

Is there a problem with FaceTime's routing or something?

I always find it slightly amusing when people (myself included, sometimes) make a distinction between text files and binary files. It's not like text files are encoded using pixie dust.
